Case Study: A Brand-New Carpet Cleaning Website Got 6 Pages onto Google’s First Page in 11 Days
Niche: Carpet cleaning | Location: Ruskin, FL | Launched: 17 Sep 2026 | Starting point: Brand-new domain with no history
The Goal
Build a local service website from scratch, get it onto Google’s first page for its main local keyword, and document every step so the results are real and verifiable.
What I Did
- Built the site around one main keyword. The homepage targets “carpet cleaning Ruskin” with the title Carpet Cleaning Ruskin, FL | Same-Day Service.
- Created a page for each nearby area, including Southshore Bay, Apollo Beach, Sun City Center, Balm and Wimauma.
- Added pages for specific customers and services, such as landlords & property managers and pet stain & odor removal.
- Published 5 supporting blog posts, bringing the site to 28 URLs at launch.
- Submitted the sitemap to Google Search Console on 25 Sep and resubmitted it on 27 Sep. Google read it successfully and discovered 35 URLs.
- Tracked every checkpoint with Search Console screenshots and screen recordings.
Timeline
- Day 0 (17 Sep): Website launched.
- Day 8 (25 Sep): Sitemap submitted, and the site made its first appearances in Google search.
- Day 10 (27 Sep): Homepage reached average position 1.0 in Search Console and earned its first 4 clicks.
- Day 11 (28 Sep): 19 pages indexed by Google.
- Day 13 (30 Sep): Homepage is the #1 organic result for “carpet cleaning ruskin” (searched from Ruskin, FL). 11 pages now appear in Google, and 6 of them are on page one.

Key Lessons
- One page per place wins fast. Five area and audience pages reached Google’s top 10 within two weeks. Smaller, specific searches are easier to win than the main keyword.
- Match the page to the search. A homepage title that says exactly what people type (service + town) gives Google a clear signal from day one.
- Track from day one, and be patient with the data. Search Console runs 2–3 days behind, so screenshots and recordings are what turn early results into proof.
